COVID-19: QROPS NZ BUSINESS
CONTINUITY PLAN

We’re open for business

Friday 13th March QROPS NZ made the preemptive decision to mobilise our team to work from home. We have robust plans in place to ensure that we can continue to serve our customers and we welcome the measures announced by the Government in an effort to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

QROPS NZ is well placed to be fully operational during this crisis, our multiple office locations in New Zealand and the UK mean that everyday we work with colleagues, clients and pension providers in dispersed locations without a thought. This is now second nature to us and we have also shared some of the tools we use in the hope it may help you while you are at home.

Given the current outbreak of COVID-19 and the impact the virus is having on our customers, employees and families, we would like to share our Business Continuity plans with you. Despite the uncertainty of COVID-19, we expect to continue to deliver the same level of service excellence to our customers and have the following measures in place to ensure your success:

AVAILABILITY OF OUR AMAZING TEAM

QROPS NZ is a company with customers all over the country and a team spread over three offices in two countries so our team is already accustomed to collaborating across diverse locations and is able to easily connect with each other and our customers in a secure and productive environment.

We will be available to work with you and deliver on your pension transfers regardless of our physical work locations. Our phones have been diverted to our mobile phones.

AVAILABILITY OF NZ PENSION SCHEMES

We have already been in touch with the major pension schemes in New Zealand and put into place contingency plans that allow them to continue to deliver pension transfer services for our clients.

We have established relationships to get certification of documentation done where required.

We have produced guides to sending your documents both nationally and internationally under the essential business regime.

SOME KEY THINGS WE ARE DOING

  • We are making ourselves available to our customers out of hours as we know this will be far from standard business as usual.
  • We have enabled remote working for our entire team and have ensured everyone can work from home productively and securely for a longer period of time.
  • We are providing daily updates to our team.
  • Management is meeting online twice a day trying to ensure we keep business running as usual where possible for customers and staff.
  • We have suspended all business travel for our employees.
  • Leadership teams are working closely together ensuring we have a common map and understanding of the situation and priorities.
  • All decisions and actions are being logged.
  • All meetings (Internal and external) are being facilitated through video conferencing.

SOME OF THE TOOLS WE USE EVERYDAY TO WORK REMOTELY

We recognise that some of our clients are not accustomed to remote working and may be struggling with the challenges it presents. Here is a list of some of the tools we use that may be appropriate for you. Let us know if you need any advice.

COMMUNICATIONS

  • Slack (Internal)
  • Zoom (External)

straightforward and painless

Until now I'd imagined my UK pension funds being locked away behind all manner of firewalls and bureaucratic hurdles to access on retirement. Before committing the one surviving official document of my English OE to the bin - a single page detailing my private pension details - I contacted you out of curiosity. The result feels a little like winning lotto.

very stress free

Thank you Cambel for your help and guidance throughout this process in getting my pension transferred (very stress free for me). It is greatly appreciated and I would certainly recommend you and Charter Square to others who are interested in transferring their pension.

You guys rock!

I just wanted to say a great big thank you to you and your team. You are all totally awesome. I received a cheque yesterday from the Prudential to apologise for the ‘recent inconvenience’ that I had experienced. Thank you for doing this for me. You guys rock!

Noelle B, New Zealand

professional, insightful

Charter Square were professional, insightful and a pleasure to work with. They rose to the challenge of consolidating my overseas pensions and bringing them home with minimum fuss for me and maximum effort on their part.

Jens H, New Zealand

thorough, professional and prompt

Very thorough, professional and prompt service from the team at Charter Square. Thanks for making the bewildering world of pension transfers super simple.

Best party to deal with

Thank you kindly for keeping in touch with me. For now, I will not be moving my pension. I will however be keeping your details and referring back to you when I wish to pursue. You by far are the best party to deal with, no nonsense, professional and in my opinion genuine. I do sincerely thank you for your advice to date.

Freedom

Securing the freedom to use savings that are actually ours to work with has been stressful in the extreme. While I never planned on giving up there were many times when the current (UK) holder made the whole process seem well beyond my determination and ability. It’s easy to look at the 36 month history of this claim with the benefit of hindsight, but the conclusion is that employing Charter Square in the first instance would have been wise had I been able to anticipate the red-tape that appears to have been deliberately created to stall access.
